Every night my son and I make up a story about 2 friends who just seem
to always get into trouble. However at the end they always tell their
parents what they did. The basis of the stories is to teach my son
that sometimes friends are different and come from different places
and no matter what, he must know he can always talk to his parents.
We have made up many stories together and it’s got to a point that he
even makes up a story and tells me. Shaka and Leo are the main
characters. Shaka is a squirrel and Leo is a young lion. They always
end up riding anything that flies, drives, goes on water or under
water etc. There is no limit in what they go in or where they go to. The
big thing that gets them into trouble is that Shaka cannot resist any
“red button”. If he sees it, he pushes it. And that’s the start of
their adventure together. Leo is always the one that steers whatever
they are in as Shaka is just too small.
